This is a video of your screen with a recording of your presentation, audio only or including video.

Recording in a standard lecture hall

You can record your lecture in different ways. With the help of Ubicast software, you can easily record your lecture in most lecture halls (click here for an overview).

To do this, press the 'Record' button on the touchpad in the room at the beginning of your lecture, and 'Stop recording' at the end.

See here for more instructions. CPIO can also provide support in this regard.

The recording will then immediately end up on the UU video platform, in the folder that belongs to your course. It is not immediately visible, it must first be published (to prevent unwanted recordings from immediately coming online). The CPIO can help with this.

Recording in a room without recording facilities

Commonly used lecture halls without recording options are:

  • all rooms in the Buijs Ballot building
  • 2.08 and 2.24 in the Koningsberger building
  • Ruppert D in the Ruppert building

You must then make the recording via the website of the videoplatform.
There is no hall microphone, so no (good) sound during the recording: use the voice recorder for this.

  • Collect the voice recorder at the reception in advance
  • The computers in these rooms contain a shortcut to the videoplatform's website
  • Your mobile phone is required for 2FA to log in to the videoplatform
  • The recording ends up in your personal channel and is not accessible for CPIO

See here for detailed instructions.

The first time you sit in such a room, someone from the CPIO will try to be present to assist. If you need assistance more often, you can always ask us (via cpio@uu.nl).

Example of recording

This is a example of such a recording.
Notice:

  • You can choose whether you want to see the video, the slides, or both at the same time
  • You can search per slide by clicking on the "Slides" icon at the top right. On the timeline you can see where each slide starts as a green vertical line.
  • There is also an icon for paragraphs and/or comments, which is not used here.
  • Below the presentation there is more information, including the option to send the teacher a personal email.
  • You can play the recording up to 2x faster, and also skip back 5 seconds
