These recordings will be placed in the 'Unsorted' folder on the video platform. This folder is a collection of all recordings made at USP that the platform cannot place. As a teacher you cannot access this. The video platform places the recordings in the correct course folder at the start of each day. CPIO also regularly checks these presentations and can move and metadata them earlier if desired.

These recordings only have the location and date in the title, for example: Ruppert - A | 20211117-100048-7ae9, and no speaker. So they still have to be provided with all metadata!

Recording process

In these rooms you use a wireless microphone, and there is a button on the console for recording.
Click here for an overview of these rooms.
(For the combination with Teams: see https://video.uu.nl/permalink/v1261b8f32d2buyh32cl/iframe/)

  1. Start all equipment as you normally do (on your own laptop or PC in the room)
  2. Start your presentation, and project it
  3. Go to the touch panel where you started the equipment
  4. Click Record at the bottom.

    • It will take a while for the recording to start, so please be patient!
    • A red light comes on on the room side of the table so that students can see that the recording is taking place.
    • (at least) 3 streams are recorded: the screen, the board, and a wide view of the front of the room. You can delete or rearrange streams later.
  5. Don't forget to use the stop button when ending your lecture.

You will then be asked if you want to stop the recording permanently (see below ), then select 'stop recording permanently'. When you stop recording, the recording is automatically sent to the course channel for your course in the video platform.

To be on the safe side, you can also use the voice recorder in case something goes wrong with the sound.

Scheduled

The recording is immediately saved in the course folder on the video platform.
All information (course, teacher) is filled in automatically.

Not scheduled

These recordings will be placed in the 'Unsorted' folder on the video platform. This folder is a collection of all recordings made at USP that the platform cannot place. As a teacher you cannot access this. The video platform places the recordings in the correct course folder at the start of each day. CPIO also regularly checks these presentations and can move and metadata them earlier if desired.
"Recordings that start earlier than the officially scheduled time (for example 8:59) are also included."
These recordings only have the location and date in the title, for example: Ruppert - A | 20211117-100048-7ae9, and no speaker. So they still have to be provided with all metadata!
